Booking

Booking a ticket on Makeigo is easy! Simply:
  1. Enter your origin, destination, and travel date on the homepage
  2. Select your preferred bus from the available options
  3. Choose your seats using our interactive seat map
  4. Enter passenger details and proceed to payment
  5. Complete payment and receive your e-ticket via email

Yes, you can book tickets for family members, friends, or colleagues. Simply enter their details in the passenger information section during checkout. The ticket will be sent to the email address you provide.

You can book tickets up to 30 days in advance. We recommend booking early, especially during peak seasons and holidays, to secure your preferred seats and get the best prices.

While you can book as a guest, we highly recommend creating an account. Registered users enjoy benefits like faster checkout, booking history, easy cancellations, and exclusive offers.

Payments

We accept various payment methods including:
  • Debit/Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Bank Transfers
  • USSD Payments
  • Mobile Money
  • Wallet (Makeigo Wallet)
All payments are processed securely through Paystack.

Absolutely! We use Paystack, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor, to handle all transactions. Your payment information is encrypted and never stored on our servers.

If your payment fails, you can try again using a different payment method or contact your bank. Your booking will not be confirmed until payment is successful. Contact our support team if you need assistance.

Cancellation & Refund

Cancellation policies vary by operator. Generally:
  • More than 24 hours before departure: 90% refund
  • 12-24 hours before departure: 75% refund
  • 2-12 hours before departure: 50% refund
  • Less than 2 hours: No refund
Please check the specific policy for your booking during checkout.

You can cancel your booking through:
  • Your account dashboard under "My Bookings"
  • Contacting our customer support
  • Sending an email to cancellations@makeigo.com
Please have your booking reference ready.

Refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days after cancellation approval. The time it takes for the refund to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.

Trip Information

We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before departure time. Boarding typically closes 15 minutes before departure to ensure timely departure.

You'll need to present:
  • Your ticket (printed or digital on your phone)
  • A valid government-issued ID (National ID, Driver's License, Passport, or Voter's Card)

Date changes depend on availability and the operator's policy. Please contact our customer support at least 24 hours before departure to request a date change. Additional fees may apply.

Account

To reset your password:
  1. Click on "Forgot Password" on the login page
  2. Enter your registered email address
  3. Check your email for a reset link
  4. Follow the link to create a new password

Log in to your account and go to "My Profile" where you can update your personal information, phone number, and profile picture. Email address cannot be changed for security reasons.

To delete your account, please contact our support team at privacy@makeigo.com. Please note that account deletion is permanent and will remove all your booking history.
